University of Bath UK Jobs Description 2022

About you:
We are looking for a candidate with an established research track record who will contribute to and benefit from active engagement in one of our core research Centres and groups; most staff teaching on the BSc Sport Management & Coaching programme are part of the Physical Cultural Health Studies group.

You will be expected to teach a range of sport related topics, primarily on the BSc Sport Management & Coaching programme, and have expertise in one or more of the following key areas:

sport psychology,
PE and sport coaching,
sport development,
sport management,
sport policy,
research methods in sport,
sociology of sport.
You will be asked to take on other roles in teaching support such as personal tutoring, dissertation supervision, course development and other administrative activities as they arise.

About the role:
This role is offered on a full time, permanent basis.

We have been ranked in the top 10 of the QS World Rankings for Sport-related subjects in the last two years, and have an international reputation for our research in areas of health, exercise and sport. Our research is organised around three themes: Lifelong Health and Wellbeing, Improving Human Function, and a Fair and Vibrant Society. In REF 2014 we returned staff across three Units of Assessment, ranking 5th (Sport & Exercise Science) and 6th (Allied Health Professions), with ~90% of our outputs rated as world-leading or internationally excellent (i.e. 3-4*).
