Receiving Agent

We are currently seeking for passionate and dynamic Finance professionals who pride themselves on their ability to deliver extraordinary levels of customer service and provide creative solutions to our guests.

As a Receiving Agent you are responsible for managing the receiving function in a timely, smooth and efficient manner while ensuring all goods procured at the Hotel meets our quality requirements and in accordance with our policies, procedures and standards. Your role will include key responsibilities such as:

• Ensure that all items received at the Hotel are in conformance with the LPO, Hotel Policies and Hygiene Standards. Prior to receiving, the goods must be physically inspected as necessary for count, weight and other visually identifiable product specifications
• Ensure that the inspected goods are delivered to relevant department and necessary acknowledgements are obtained from Department Head or representative
• Review supplier invoices and ensure that they are original with copy, numbered, itemised with clear description and free from clerical errors. Acknowledge satisfactory delivery with Hotel Seal and signature
• Ensure that the Supplier invoices are processed in FBM as per standards and in a timely manner
• Review and process the Deviations Report, Outstanding Order Report as per Hotel Standards
• Review on a weekly basis Outgoing Records (OR) for serial control and completeness.
• Identify OR that is outstanding and highlight it to Department Heads in the Outstanding Outgoing Record Report as per Hotel Standards
• Develop and maintain manual and computer filing system and ensure that the files are properly named, catalogued and access is restricted to authorised persons
• Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests’ and employees’ health and safety, as well as protect and conserve the environment
• Comply with the hotel environmental, health and safety policies and procedures

Skills

Education, Qualifications & Experiences

You should have a degree in hotel management or accounting and at least one year previous experiences within a hotel environment. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and computer literacy is a must, while knowledge of Opera, Micros, FBM and SUN System an asset.

Corporate Director of Development

Job Description

As a Director of Development you are responsible to provide market research and due diligence support for the Research and Development Department. You are responsible to assist in the expansion Rotana’s brands by supporting the Development Team in sourcing, negotiating and signing of additional hotels in new and existing markets which align with Rotana’s core strategy. Furthermore your role will include key responsibilities such as:

• Conduct market research and compile market intelligence for regions of interest according to the development strategy
• Maintain information on current market trends and hotel performance within specific markets, regions and destinations, as well as on expansion of competitor hotel chains within specific markets, regions and destinations
• Assist in compiling, updating and prioritizing a list of target markets for development and monitor relevant industry trends
• Participate in implementing the strategic business plan to grow the company’s presence in target markets
• Assist in evaluating new hotel projects and conduct preliminary review of the market, potential performance, competitors and other relevant information
• Assist in the negotiation of commercial and legal terms of new hotels and in the drafting of management and other related documents
• Assist in preparing analysis and presentations for various committees related to the development department, as well as the necessary documents for the development committee
• Provide direct support in relation to special projects within the development department
• Prepare regular reports and analysis on the departments’ performance (monthly/quarterly reports, status reports etc.) and update material, presentations and documentation for the department as required
• Collaborate with other departments like legal, finance, technical for effective completion of tasks and establish and maintain a strong network of contacts with industry players including support industries such as consultants, financiers, developers, tourism authorities, etc.
• Attend relevant hospitality events and maintain a high profile within the industry in the region

Skills

Education, Qualifications & Experiences
You must have direct experience in hotel development with an internationally recognized hotel company. You must be computer literate with excellent presentation skills and effective and outstanding communication skills, written and oral with proficiency in English and Arabic.

The ideal candidate will be courteous, able to work with minimal supervision, discreet and capable of dealing with high level of confidentiality. An extremely proactive and ‘switched on’ person with an outgoing, charismatic and approachable character, who works well under pressure in a fast paced environment and be a key team player with a concern for quality.
