Laundry Supervisor Park Services – Waterpark

This position is responsible for managing the Water Park laundry operation effectively and efficiently ensuring excellent laundry/dry-cleaning services. To also ensure quality controls are in place and manage colleague service inquiries.

What you will be doing:

• Conduct daily briefings, supervise, and train staff in day-to-day laundry operations
• Ensure guest laundry, dry cleaning and pressing is completed according to department standards and procedures
• Manage overall daily operations of the Laundry Department
• Ensure quality controls are in place for all laundry processes, rejecting any exceptions
• Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area
• Train, develop, and appraise the laundry team
• Ensure uniforms, shoes and housekeeping supplies are ordered and controlled in line with Business and Events
• Carry out stock takes
• Ensure par stocks are maintained
• Take receipt of stock and ensure safe storage
• Manage colleague service issues quickly and effectively
• Oversee the issuing of uniforms via a requisition system
• Ensure team members adhere to all Health and Safety Regulations
• Carry out any other reasonable task set by the Water Park management
• Conduct uniform inventory monthly
• Assist all staff at the laundry counter for any service request.
• Keep an updated inventory of laundry detergents, equipment, supplies and sewing kits.
• Check all laundry machinery to ensure that all filters are cleaned regularly, and press covers are in good condition; report any machine defects to Engineering
• Check the handover logbook and follow up any outstanding issues.

Other Responsibilities:

• Be well versed in Water Park fire & life safety/emergency procedures
• Attend all briefings, meetings and trainings as assigned by management
• Always maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene
• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the assigned by the Management
• Establish and maintain effective employee working relationships

Your experience and skills include:

• High school education
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar capacity
• English – oral and written skills

This position is responsible for the supervision and management of the housekeeping department, ensuring the highest standards of excellence at all times, whilst maintaining professional and well-organized service. Ensure operation runs within financial framework.

What you will be doing:

• Assumes responsibilities of Executive Housekeeper in his absence.
• Analyzes monthly reports and reviews opportunities for improvement.
• Conducts inventory and studies opportunities to reduce losses and damages.
• Prepares roster of Housekeeping Supervisor and other staff rosters.
• Regularly inspects work to ensure standards and procedures established for maintenance and cleanliness are implemented and maintained.
• Conducts continuous on-the-job training for all housekeeping employees, especially deviation from the established standards and procedures.
• Ensure that all preventive maintenance and general cleaning programmers and schedules are in place and executed accordingly.
• Directs, delegates responsibilities for the effective control, record, issue and care of furniture’s, equipment items, operating items, guest and clearing supplies including their storage.
• Ensure that the department key control procedures are strictly adhered to.
• Handles Housekeeping staff meeting on room and public area.
• Assists in evaluation the performance of the department’s personnel.
• Conducts regular Departmental Communication meeting and ensures follow through.
• Assists in preparation of annual budget.

Your experience and skills include:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as Assistant Executive Housekeeper or relevant role.
• Degree/Diploma in Hospitality Management
• Additional certification(s) in rooms management studies is an advantage.
• Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and relevant accounting systems
• Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations

This position is responsible for the Waterpark mechanical maintenance works consist of preventive/planned and reactive maintenance, daily operations, assets, equipment and property maintenance and repair works.

What you will be doing:

• The ability to fault find and repair Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning Systems including constant temperature hot/cold water, pumps, calorifiers, pressurization vessels, and valves.
• The ability to fault find and repair hydraulic, pneumatic and rides mechanical gear system.
• The ability to fault find and repair all the facilities piping systems.
• The ability to fault find and repair pumped water systems whether they be domestic hot and cold water or closed systems such as chilled and heating water and including equipment attached to those systems.
• The ability to carry out daily checks to treated systems such as condense systems and swimming pool systems and respond appropriately to the conditions in order to maintain systems that comply with company and local authority codes.
• The ability to carry out water treatments checks to closed systems such as heating and chilled water systems and maintain those systems to company and local authority standards
• The ability to carry out water treatment checks to the Hot Tub/Spa and Swimming pool systems and repair/respond appropriately to system conditions
• The ability to participate in the on-call program and to respond both by phone and in person as appropriate
• The ability to respond to all guest complaints regarding the maintenance of rides or public area in a timely manner.
• The ability to take meter readings, record temperatures and pressures in heating and cooling plant.
• The ability to check all mechanical and plant rooms.
• The ability to keep a correct inventory and write PO request for needed items
• The ability to respond to work orders or inspection reports submitted by Department Heads.
• The ability to maintain a good working relationship with other employees, providing instruction and encouragement as needed.

Your experience and skills include:

• Qualification in Trades Technician level, variety of engineering/maintenance
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar capacity with proven track records
• Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language
• Water park experience will be preferred.
• Basic computer skills – ability to use BMS
• Blueprints reading knowledge
• Service-oriented with an eye for details
• Well-presented and professionally groomed at all times
