Qatar Foundation Jobs Description 2021

  • Strategizes the directions of security department to ensure the provision of effective, adequate and cost effective security operations for Qatar Foundation. This will include strategizing security systems including security cameras, access control and other necessary security equipment for the over sight of all security related operations. Liaison with various customers ensuring that their security requirements are delivered on time and on budget to their reasonable satisfaction and the provision adequate, well trained and motivated proprietary and contract security systems to accomplish these missions. To ensure the security, protection and safety of all Qatar Foundation / Education City employees, students, guests and all facilities and properties. Also provides effective management and inputs to security systems design and physical security concepts for Qatar Foundation projects and reviews project documentation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisor
  • Coordinate Emergency Response.
  • Participate in general corporate Loss Prevention and investigation.
  • Participate in conduct of security risk assessment and manages the findings of these reports in aid of security services improvements.
  • To provide management with HSSE Incident reports.
  • To plan, design, and execute Qatar Foundation security program.
  • Participate in QF Security Policy and Procedures.
  • Operates and administer Master and Backup Security Control Rooms.
  • Participate in support to provide traffic and parking control policies and procedures.
  • Liaison with national security organizations.
  • Strategize the security control room operations.
  • Manages Vehicle Access Permits, Key controls and QF ID process.
  • To monitor, operate, administer and respond to security systems and calls for assistance.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely; Arabic proficiency is an advantage
  • Proven competence in the Security Risk Assessments process and cycles
  • Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English. Proficiency in Arabic is desirable.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Computer skills are must.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 years of security supervisory/ Management Experience
  • Preference to Board Certified Security Professionals.
  • Basic Human Resource Management experience.
  • Experience working with teams of all sizes, including large teams.
  • Formal training security, military or police operations, 3 – 5 years of security, military or police experience and a Level 2 Security Certificate
  • University degree or at least 5 years of relevant industry experience.

  • In collaboration with supporting entities and key stakeholders, provide input into new opportunity assessment, evaluation, and development of business cases for business development opportunities either by initiated projects, initiatives and entities.
  • Implement risk management practices through the adherence to Qatar Foundation policies and procedures. Assess and effectively manage risks associated with end to end

  • Provide leadership, direction and oversight of current and planned RDI activities and programs

  • Participate as a member of RDI Secretariat’s senior leadership team and liaise with RDI Council, Expert Advisory Committee and QF Senior Leadership offices as needed
  • Consult and collaborate with other partners and eco-system actors in the strategizing, prioritization and execution of QRDIC programs
  • Work with relevant ecosystem actors (specifically academic institutions and knowledge institutes) to develop plans & policies to support RDI and diffusion of solutions to national challenges in Qatar and the region
  • Provide input to communication strategies and plans for all RDI initiatives, programs and events to increase awareness of QRDIC programs and events
  • Serve on boards and advisory boards of RDI entities as needed to provide advisory, counseling, monitoring & governance; Support the establishment of national advisory boards for the priority areas
  • Lead development of major partnerships related to RDI especially within each of the priority areas

  • Establish clear and measurable KPIs to achieve the goals and objectives set out by QRDIC

Job Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field, 8-10 years of relevant full-time work experience in Research or Innovation funding and grant management, 5 of which at a senior supervisory level, PhD preferred.
  • Breadth of knowledge and experience across academic and professional disciplines
  • Well-developed ties with the international RDI community
  • Outstanding leadership and management skills including strong interpersonal & negotiating skills
