We have an exciting opportunity for a new Assistant Merchandiser to join the merchandising team. The Assistant Merchandiser role will play a key role within their function, ensuring the execution of overall Merchandising department and business priorities. Central to this role is ensuring that best practice Merchandising standards are achieved within the department, working closely with the Merchandiser and/or Planned to deliver continuous improvement.

Role and Responsibilities 

Key Responsibilities include:

Assistant Merchandiser (all functions)

  • Work with both the department team and overall Merchandising team to highlight opportunities at to improve business performance, establishing best practice for both communication and executionResponsible for the accurate and timely production of agreed management reports within the functional area.
  • Responsible for pulling Weekly/monthly Trade reports. Identify opportunities to improve learning from history.
  •  Identify product category / channel performance trends, risks and opportunities. Play your role as a key part of overall the BRIS Merchandise department to plan and execute business priorities,
  • Support the functional manager with communication. Ensure information is sent out to agreed deadlines and in the correct format.  Collaboration with other departments is key to ensure consistency.
  • Be the designated point of contact for your area of specialism for internal and external contacts.
  •  Store Visits -O&O visit follow up/actions to ensure best practice Merchandising standards in these stores.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships taking on board concerns and opportunities to help drive the business forward.
  • Ensure consistency in execution of all changes to business performance, aligning activity across all Assistant Merchandisers.
  • Support each function in times of peak activity, for example Allocation support during seasonal launch and promotional periods.
  • Responsible for collating weekly/month/quarter and hindsight reporting packs.

Allocation – focus

  • Plan and oversee O&O Store replenishment process. Gain full understanding of the replenishment tool .Ensure allocation actions are aligned to weekly trading priorities. Check allocation volumes and confirm quantities are aligned with plan and upcoming commercial activity.
  •  Maintenance of Store/Grade Cover targets. Review and take action accordingly.
  • Pull analysis on performance by store and identify stock and sales opportunities on a weekly basis for both O&O and Franchise store. Feedback to Merchandiser with any insights and take action where necessary.
  • Gain full understanding of the replenishment tool (APTOS).Ensure allocation actions are aligned to weekly trading priorities. Check allocation volumes and confirm quantities are aligned with plan and upcoming commercial activity.
  • Point of contact for warehouses (EDC and UKDC) – updating the team on fulfilment of new product allocations and highlighting any stock issues.

Planning – focus

  • Support in the development of clear planning KPI’s and reporting to drive improved business performance.
  • Create clear and consistent reports to analyse and propose actions on all key business initiatives (eg NPI/BASE; BAB; Gift Sets; Intake forecasts; Margin)
  • Input into the proposal for key business planning stages, including product and category mixes; promotions; end of season sale.
  • Ensure data is accurate at all times for key business reports, including WSSI, budgeting and promotions.

Demand Planning – focus

  • Support the accurate updating of Demand Planning systems in line with business performance – focused on improving forecast accuracy.
  •  Help to identify and implement new and better ways of working around inventory planning, in line with changes in business demand.
  • Involvement with global demand planning to provide input to process development.
  • Ensure balance in assortment between core, newness and novelty products when forecasting future demand, making recommendations as relevant.

Product – focus

  • Measure stock and sales mixes by Channel/partner and work to understand customer profiles.
  • Update Store profiling document on a seasonal basis to improve future product strategy.
  • Plan new store opening packs in line with customer profiles.
  •  Provide analysis and insight for month-end Cycle performance review meetings, to support improvements in future buying
  • Master Product file maintenance – ensure accurate and up-to-date info is recorded by DV (option) and linking to the bestsellers report.
  • Competitor analysis and commentary for hindsight reviews

The Successful Candidate

  • Some experience with Merchandise planning systems
  • Excellent MS Office skills: advanced Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • Strong fashion/jewellery retail background within a Merchandising Department
  • Analytical, High attention to detail
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Excellent communicator and team player
  • Able to use initiative and make recommendations to maximise sales
  • Able to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities

THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

General

  • Reporting into the Head of Brand Marketing, responsible for digital marketing traffic driving initiatives across both performance and digital brand activations
  • Responsible for PPC, SEO, Affiliates, Paid & Owned Social & Digital Display
  • Lead and execute the UK & Ireland digital marketing strategy in line with both the global and local trading line up
  • This role is a key interface between the global media, creative and brand activation departments to fulfil local marketing needs
  • Push the boundaries with innovative ideas to ensure PANDORA stays ahead of the competition
  • As Digital Marketing Manager you will manage both the performance marketing and digital brand budget

Performance & Digital Excellence

  • Work closely with the eCom Analyst and Finance Business Partner to provide ROAS/KPI targets for each of the channels/agencies to adhere to
  • Implement regular reporting structure to evaluate ROAS/KPIs on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis vs LY and targets
  • Manage channel optimisations together with agencies to drive cost efficient channel performance
  • Follow best practice guidance from external sources and agencies to ensure effective digital marketing execution
  •  Lead UK and global communication to share market knowledge, performance and innovative digital marketing activities to improve performance

Team

  • Provide day-to-day management and support for the Digital Marketing team
  • Responsible for development, training and progression including development talks and regular one-to-one mentoring
  • Work with internal stakeholders to align digital marketing content strategy with overarching UK marketing calendar
  • Build strong relationships with local eCom, offline media, CRM, PR and VM teams to ensure 360 alignment

Agency Management

  • Manage key relationships across eCommerce, Digital Marketing, PR and with relevant third party agencies
  • Build a strong relationship with platform (Google/Facebook/Snap/Pinterest) account managers to leverage support and training
  • The position is a key day-to-day contact with the digital arm of the UK media agency, search agencies, and affiliate partner
