The HR Project Manager will develop and maintain project plans supporting HR programs and initiatives using project management tools and processes under guidance. This role will support the coordination of teams across the HR function (including subject matter leaders, HR technology administrators, employee services, employee experience) and outside the HR function to deliver successful projects/programs within budget, on time and with a distinctive employee experience

  • Support the management of HR projects to ensure: 1) programs are prioritized to drive the HR strategy, 2) resources are allocated accordingly, and 3) program timelines and commitments are reasonable
  • Actively engage in managing complex, cross functional projects and programs involving change management, as well as short-term consulting engagements
  • Assist in the development of project scopes and objectives as needed, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Develop critical path analysis for project implementation as needed
  • Support in identifying potential risks or issues and implement appropriate remedies to effectively mitigate or remove barriers to project success
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors as needed for the flawless execution of projects (e.g. project documentation and requirements are captured, signed-off and delivered solution meets stated requirements)
  • Build healthy relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders of all levels including senior leadership, geographically distributed project team members, cross-functional stakeholders, and vendors
  • Develops and executes change management activities as needed (e.g. change strategy & planning, stakeholder engagement, change impact, organizational readiness, and communications)
  • Drive best practices, promote knowledge sharing and close collaboration within the HR team
  • Stay relevant by growing and excelling in areas of expertise and becoming a recognized thought partner
  • Create and maintain project plans, reports, and dashboards that provide the project teams and project sponsors insight into project portfolio
  • Set up HR effectiveness measures, associated KPIs, and measuring and communication mechanisms (e.g. HR Service Catalog)
  • Provides clear and concise status updates and reports to various levels of the organization
  • Assist in establishing project management processes and methodologies to ensure assigned projects meet high quality standards and stakeholder expectations.
  • Coordinate and organize HR governance activities and timelines (e.g. HR COE and Shared Services service delivery review cadence and schedule)
  • Coordinate and manage the North American employee recognition program

What You’ll Bring:

  • 3+ years of HR project management experience
  • Relevant and successful project management and/or consulting experience of highly complex, cross functional projects involving change management within a fast-paced, global, and dynamic organization
  • Proven experience managing projects; strong working knowledge of common project management and change management models, methodologies and tools
  • Prior HR operational experience (benefits, recruiting, learning, compensation, business partnering)
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel and MS Visio (process flows) skills
  • Experience with HR metrics and analytics
  • Experience with human centered design
  • Experience with online collaboration/facilitation tools
  • Analytical mindset, resilient and tenacious
  • Ability to collaborate and build strong partnerships
  • Flexible and adaptable; ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations
