Due to continuing growth and development of Merlin’s attractions and brands on a global scale, we are looking for a Finance Systems Support (NetSuite) to join our Group Finance team.  This role will be based at our The Merlin Hub – Basingstoke office or our Head Office in Poole.

This role reports into the Group Finance Systems Support Manager on a permanent basis.

About the Role...

  • To liaise and resolve customer support queries across a multitude of systems in line with our governance and controls
  • To assist global projects where required
  • To embrace and support new finance systems
  • To provide second line support and escalate to third line support where
  • required
  • To provide first line support to cover for other team members
  • Ad hoc requests

About You…

  • Considerable experience on NetSuite; General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Accounts Receivable, Inter-company, Projects, Timesheets and Fixed Assets
  • Considerable Finance Accounting experience
  • Considerable experience of working within a global finance support team
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent communications
  • Excellent presentation
  • Excellent in Excel
  • Experience of Kyriba, Docupeek and Concur desirable but not necessary

Here at the Cornish Seal Sanctuary which has been at its current site since 1975, we drive excellence in our overall visitor experience and ensure every guest has an amazing day with us. We’re also lucky enough to be situated on the banks of the Helford River in Cornwall.

We have some really exciting positions across our Customer Service departments on a temporary short-term basis to help deliver amazing guest experiences during our Easter and summer holiday period.

Whether you’re into preparing food in our restaurant, giving a talk to our guests on our amazing creatures or even spreading the SEA LIFE Trust love by helping guests decide what to buy in our shop, then this is the opportunity for you!

PLEASE NOTE: due to uncertainty around the continued impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, if successful after interview, we may not be able to confirm a start date with you until our opening schedule is able to be fully clarified.

About The Roles

First and foremost, these are guest facing roles to support and engage with guests, offering an exceptional experience to each visitor via excellent customer service.

You could be at the heart of our attraction delivering both entertaining and informative talks to our guests, assisting with feeds, school bookings, birthdays and events. You could even be working on the tills, selling SEA LIFE Trust related goodies, answering any questions guests may have, checking tickets and acting as a sales representative. If working in the restaurant you will deliver service to the highest standard, ensuring we exceed the expectations of our guests through efficient food preparation, production, and service.

This is a fixed-term temporary role to support us during our holiday periods. We hope contracts can start from April/May and continue until the end of our main season in September/October. Hours and shifts will vary through the year, so we’ll be looking for flexibility and also the ability to work weekends and school holidays in particular.

About You

It goes without saying that you’ll have loads of experience working in a guest facing environment that puts the customer at the heart of everything. You’ll be able to demonstrate how your customer service skills are second to none and that you’re a natural when it comes to interacting with people of all ages.
