Overview

The role of Account Director sits within the Haymarket Medical team. It has a vital impact on the revenue potential of the department. You will be in charge of managing and growing established and new accounts, and associated revenue, as part of the sales team.

Your experience in managing key accounts will be key to the representation of Haymarket Medical as a provider of high quality, professional products/projects that healthcare professionals want to engage with, and pharmaceutical companies and healthcare organisations want to sponsor.

Specific Responsibilities

Account and Client Direction

Professionally represent Haymarket Medical internally and externally
Take complete responsibility for your accounts across the whole of the Haymarket Medical portfolio
Manage day to day running of your allocated accounts
Work creatively and in a forward-thinking manner to improve client service and sales across the whole of your account portfolio, with branded and bespoke solutions as appropriate
Report to the Commercial Director on individual accounts, sales pipelines, and any changes in Haymarket’s relationship with clients
Work with the commercial and content teams to ensure solutions to clients remain current and drive product development
Explore new budget areas within pharmaceutical companies and healthcare organisations including communications, medical education, training, EU and global teams

Sales responsibilities

Responsible for achieving budgeted sales targets
Sell sponsorship and education solutions on our MIMS Learning Haymarket Medical’s CPD website
Devise and implement a sales pipeline broken down by account and product which should be updated on an ongoing basis
Identify and prioritise sales opportunities for your accounts
Create engaging and appropriate client proposals and costings
Be accountable for contribution as well as revenue for all of your project sales
Grow business from existing accounts and develop business from new accounts/brand teams
Establish yourself as an integral part of your key account marketing teams and be able to demonstrate why Haymarket Medical should be their chosen supplier for a full range of solutions and effectively pitch and position all our relevant Haymarket Medical products

Internal liaison

Outline client objectives to content and project management teams to create the best solutions for the client
Work with the project management team on project costings and ensure high standards of liaison with client on project delivery and timelines
Work with the editorial content team to develop new ideas for specific clients, new services/products to offer and ensure editorial integrity
Collaborate with events operations team to successfully deliver on client expectations
Work with Commercial Director to ensure sales and commercial function of your allocated accounts are within budget/forecast
