GAL UAE Jobs Description 2022

Logistics Technician

The logistics technician is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy is maintained at all times through an effective system update from various warehouse tasks such as Picking, issuing, Binning, Scrap processing, return to Inventory, Cycle Count Inventory, Shelf Life verification and other related warehouse activities in compliance with company’s interest, operating procedures and standards.
Will also be responsible for
1.Assists Inspectors in receiving and inspection process according to current policies and procedures
2.Ensures all items received have the proper validation from end user prior to binning
3.Ensures all items demanded are issued in a timely manner accompanied with the proper documentation
4.Stores all items in a proper location with the correct item label and within the standard temperature and humidity (incl. POL)
5.Ensures all system transactions are correctly updated in cMRO Oracle system
6.Checks shelf life of controlled items ensuring they are done and reported to the concerned parties (if applicable)
7.Conducts regular Cycle Count or Inventory Check as per agreed schedule (if applicable)
8.Ensures all discrepancies are reported to the concerned parties
9.Creates entries and manages Stock Discrepancy Report (SDR) system (if applicable)
10.Ensures all identified scrap items are properly processed according to current policies and procedures
11.Manages and maintains annual leave schedules so that it does not affect daily operations
12.Ensures all set Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are achieved at all times
13.Ensures all Repair items are processed according to current policies and procedures (if applicable)
14.Schedules all Pick-Up and Delivery (PUD) ensuring that it is implemented to support internal customers (if applicable)
15.Ensures all items for dispatch are properly packed and within the current policies and procedures and to ensure package can withstand the travel to inter-organization or outside of country.
16.Prioritizes all items required for deployment and processes according to set standards (if applicable)
17.Ensures all items identified for War Reserves are maintained and consistently rotated (if applicable)
18.Responds to email inquiries pertaining to part availability, discrepancies and other relevant issues
19.Manages loading and unloading requirements during receipt of deliveries and dispatch to base
20.Performs daily monitoring of temperature, humidity, equipment and tools checklist
21.Provides support for special projects, programs and to ensure all contractual requirements are implemented including documentation and delivery issues
22.Handles Shipment tracking and expediting of AOG and IOR items – to monitor when received and dispositioned
23.Follows all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
24.Recommends improvements to department’s policy and procedures in line with the drive for continuous improvement.
25.Creates and/ or maintains filing system of all documentations in order to facilitate future referencing and easy accessibility.
26.Updates records and maintains files, both paper and electronic database
27.Creates and maintains assigned reports for management or departmental purpose.
28.Contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement across all areas of the department. Not exclusive to their own area of responsibilities.
29.Follows all relevant safety, quality and environmental procedures, instructions and controls, so that the safety of employees, quality of products/services and environmental compliance can be guaranteed.
30.Accomplishes safety and housekeeping checks in the working areas.
31.Ensures that accountabilities for the implementation of improvement opportunities are completed within the assigned deadlines.
32.Performs other related duties or assignments as directed
