Senior Coordinator – Cargo Operations

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Key Activities

  1. Report to Cargo Handling Supervisor and assist them in identifying critical sectors to optimize space and payload.
  2. Ensure that Ground Handling Agent / Cargo Handling Agent, FZ staff and other service suppliers are fully briefed regarding FZ requirements and that they deliver them in a timely and efficient manner so that the cargo handling proceeds smoothly
  3. Co-ordinate with GHA and ensure cargo is flown as booked and our customer service standards are maintained as per SLA agreed with GHA.
  4. Deal with problems arising such as delays, disruptions, cargo mishandling and transfer of cargo to minimize misconnections and optimum utilization of aircraft capacity.
  5. Investigate, prepare post flight reports and respond to queries, complaints and claims in order to restore customer confidence
  6. Undertake various administrative functions including roistering of staff, assessing training needs and facilitate the generation of periodic report and statistical information.
  7. Ensure the expeditious and accurate completion of all post flight activities including dispatch messages, forwarding documentation, and completion of station file so that down line operations can proceed smoothly.
  8. Collate and compile the cargo documentation for cargo uplifted on flights in accordance with local regulations and company policies and procedures.
  9. Liaise with government authorities such as Customs, Health or Police as required to ensure the effective movement of all cargo, courier and mail.
  10. Liaise with office staff and perform office functions related to Sales and Reservation when required

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE/ KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

Minimum Qualification 

  • Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent)

Experience 

  • 2+ years should be at cargo airline industry.

Knowledge / Skills 

  • Knowledge of MS Office applications.
    • Must have completed relevant professional Cargo training courses such as Dangerous Goods Regulation, Special handling, Cool Chain, knowledge of Weight and Balance and loading of B737-800 aircraft would be added qualification.
    • Knowledge of air cargo handling procedures, customs formalities and airline requirements holds a distinct advantage.

Certificate / License required 

  • Must hold Valid UAE Driving License or Dubai Airport Driving Permit

Additional Requirements 

  • Must be fluent in written and spoken English, knowledge of Arabic desirable.
    • Dynamic and motivated candidate with good inter-personal skills and ability to develop and lead a team.

Head of IT Infrastructure and Digital Platforms

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

To lead the strategic development of IT infrastructure and technology platforms, including cloud and data centres to support applications for flydubai. continuously increasing the level of automation and building digital platforms. Manage and direct the deployment, operations and support of IT infrastructure and services in the production environment in order that agreed SLAs are fully met and business continuity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Formulates and implements cost effective, robust, and reliable strategies for ensuring that IT infrastructure is designed for high availability, has sufficient resilience, reliability, and disaster recovery.
  2. Leads the management and control of Data Centres and procedures to ensure the secure and stable operation of all systems, including third party hosted and SaaS models.
  3. Manages the proactive monitoring and maintenance of IT infrastructure and Operations, through the planning, implementing, and overseeing of effective IT Operations Management, Capacity Management and Availability Management
  4. Plans and manages a structured programme of work to deliver against the strategic and operational requirements estimated based on the annualized infrastructure capacity and performance targets. Manages and directs the implementation ensuring efficiency and cost effectiveness.
  5. Establishes, develops and maintains Service Level Objectives (SLO’s) with flydubai business units and ensure that they are continually achieved and reviewed. Ensures that Service Requests are delivered in timely manner through effective supply chain management.
  6. Ensures that an appropriate process is developed so that all problems logged in the problem management system are prioritised and investigated, ensuring that permanent solutions are implemented in a timely fashion.
  7. Leads and drives industry best standards for DevSecOps, MLOps and Automation, ensuring continuous integration, delivery, infrastructure management and deployment automation in the development and implementation of emerging technology products and services.
  8. Leads flydubai’ s hybrid cloud strategy, migration of existing on-premises services to on-cloud service and to improve quality and productivity, in a cost-conscious manner. Leads the cloud provisioning requirements and technical design with a focus on improving time to market and delivery quality.
  9. Develops digital platforms and provides required infrastructure support in delivering flydubai transformation initiatives on big data, enterprise AI, IoTs, block chain, metaverse and future platforms.
  10. Develops and drives organization wide digital workplace strategy that ensures digital workplace services are fully adopted, reliable and easy to use by all employees.
  11. Manages strategic relationship with the vendors. Conducts regular service reviews, auditing vendor performance, productivity, service levels and business continuity. Ensures optimized usage of licenses and contract ownership and execution.
  12. Ensures the team is self-sufficient and appropriately skilled through certifications and trainings on cloud and emerging technologies to support production loads.

Qualifications

Minimum Education Level Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or Engineering

Education / Experience Specific Requirements

  • 12+ years’ experience in IT Infrastructure, Operations and Service Level Management at a senior level in a large multinational corporate company, ideally in the travel/transportation industry.

Officer – Aviation Security Assessor

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

To support the Aviation Security Department ensuring regulatory, and company procedures are executed accurately. The position is responsible for monitoring the effectiveness of responses or action taken by conducting regular observations and inspections highlighting areas for development and providing ideas to improve policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements.  The role focuses on improving Aviation Security Department (AVSEC) standards by monitoring and collecting AVSEC data, monitoring trends and developing mitigating procedures. The role is proactive in enhancing AVSEC standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Assists the AVSEC Department to improve procedures through feedback and observations of operations.
  2. Conducts unannounced inspections and tests of the Aircraft Operator Security Program (AOSP)to establish the status of compliance at the time of the inspection or test.
  3. Collects and documents information through effective interviewing, listening, observing and reviewing documents, records and data.
  4. Conducts observations, tests and inspections in line with National Civil Aviation Security Programme (NCASP), AOSP and IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) International standards and best practices.
  5. Liaises with internal and external stakeholders and departments to ensure the Aviation Security Department strives to improve policy and procedures.
  6. Ensures continuous Improvement through policy and process evaluations.
  7. Detects and prevents Security breaches and pilferage.
  8. Promotes AVSEC across the entire company and supports Security Management System (SEMS).
  9. Maintains and verifies the accuracy of all collected information and data.

Qualifications
