Sales Engineer – Services

The primary function of this roles is to support generating demand and selling life cycle services for Eaton Emergency Lighting and Fire Systems and solutions to targeted customers with the responsibility to manage all aspects of the customer relationship, providing sales and technical assistance in close co-ordination with authorized service providers, customers, end users, and area sales managers.

•             Achieve annual service revenue goal. Provide accurate sales forecasting and customer relationship management data on revenue streams for the mapped installed base.

•             Understand competitor’s offerings and articulate Eaton’s competitive advantages for upgrade, replacement, refurishment, fit-out scenarios. Schedule and conduct frequent Face to face visits with customers across the assigned geography, to educate the customer on the component life cycle aspects.

•             Key to this role is an ability to develop the intelligence regarding Eaton’s existing installed base, customer needs, preferences and buying habits. Review and interpret customer needs based on the life cycle assessment of the captured installed base within the specified region.

•             Analyze and provide advice for customers’ existing equipment status and recommended replacement schedules.

•             Provide support and guidance on service offering portfolio to the authorized service providers within the country.

•             Develop timely and accurate service quotations with the help of centralized resources.

•             Communication skills must be adequate to interface effectively with all external stakeholders including the maintenance/engineering/facility managers on the site.

•             Responsible for technical and administrative support for activities including  installation, testing, commissioning, repair, modifications, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, engineering change, upgrades, etc. through the current service provider infrastructure within the country.

•             Responsible for creating customer accounts, company registrations, tracking and recording leads generated

•             Provide customers basic application information via phone or on-site consultation and utilize the service provider network for 24-hour x 7 days a week on-call duty and respond to emergencies with minimal notification.

•             Maintain service log and report of work performed, by self (were need arises) or the service provider network.

•             Continuously improve personal, technical, and professional business skills enabling incumbent to service products to customer’s satisfaction through keeping current with product technology as measured by the ability to troubleshoot and repair various products and to instruct others. Demonstrate safety consciousness in equipment handling, electrical and electronic procedures, and the unique situations encountered at diverse work sites

As a Sales Manager for Projects, you will be responsible for meeting assigned sales and order targets by creating demand with contractors, consultants and clients.

Your main responsibilities:  

  • Responsible to reach and exceed assigned sales targets for LV distribution products, ICD products
  • Support all aspects of the relationship with customers, end users and create demand through Panel Builders, Contractors, Consultants, System Integrators and clients within the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Build a project pipeline through demand creation activities and execute this through Eaton Panel Builders.
  • Work closely with the Eaton sales team and specification managers to achieve sales and order targets.
  • Provide required support and assistance to Clients, consultants, Contractors and Panel Builders as needed.
  • Be aware of and responsive to market conditions and competitor activities. Communicate such information to sales management and product managers.
  • Maintain a co-operative and credible working relationship with other company personnel to assure goals are met and customer satisfaction.
  • Plan promotional efforts and presentations with PBs personnel to gain recognition. Ensure marketing tools / point of sale material are utilized effectively.
  • Support Eaton Panel Builders with required involvement at time of project’s finalization and approval stage alone with tech. support team.
  • Support total quality effort by:
    • providing timely and accurate information for order entry
    • elevating quality issues to attention of management
    • ensure that accurate information flows to and from customers
  • Ensure all assigned customer’s outstanding payments are received in a timely manner upholding DSO targets.
  • Collect, analyze and utilize market intelligence data on competitive products, customer needs, preferences and buying habits.
  • Provide necessary reports and surveys requested by sales management by indicated deadlines.
  • Appointments need to be planned in advance, ensuring that each call has a clear objective thus maximizing selling time and effectiveness.
  • Develop Eaton’s panel building business

Qualifications

Your essential skills we are looking for: 

  • Electrical engineering graduate, with minimum 5-7 years’ experience working in the Middle East.
  • Good presentation skills and technical knowledge of LV Distribution and ICD products
  • Sound knowledge of the assigned market & channels including competitor’s information.
  • Strong reach in the assigned market.
  • A strong business closer.
  • Good level of English
  • Arabic language is preferred
  • Driving License is mandatory.

  • Acts as business partner, strategic solution provider, advisor and counselor for the business leadership team. Understands and contributes to the business strategies and identifies opportunities to improve organizational capability to meet the current and future needs of the business.

  • Supports the leadership in the establishment and maintenance of an effective talent management and succession planning process and focuses on building the leadership capabilities for the Middle East operations. Drive local efforts to build bench strength and early talent.
  • Ensure effective deployment of performance management systems and coach managers on the process. Ensure peers and leaders are accountable for results and fully utilize the performance management tools to develop direct reports.  Challenge the team to collaborate and identify leadership issues within the organization with the goal of addressing all performance issues.
  • Provide leaders of people guidance and mentoring. Develop and implement solutions to organizational changes by leading / coaching others through change
  • Develop & deploy HR strategies to manage and drive the culture and align the organization for growth in line with Eaton Philosophy & Values which encourage employee engagement. Fully utilize annual Employee Survey process to analyze results and establish goals and action plans.
  • Drive continuous functional process improvement utilizing EBS tools and support division and location objectives for operational excellence.
  • Leads the HR function in the Middle East region supporting them in deploying the HR strategy and in optimizing / leveraging standard work and support for items such as wellness, I&D, communications, Leadership Development, HR Services etc. Drives continuous improvement within the business line HR team and delivers on assigned projects.
  • Develop, maintain, and administer competitive wage and benefit programs that reinforce the principles of a performance-based culture. Ensure effective development and administration of variable pay incentive programs.
  • Direct staffing activities for Middle East operations utilizing cost-effective recruitment techniques and leveraging corporate resources.
  • Advise managers and supervisors on employee relations matters. Ensure that business is aligned and tackles emerging employment issues in a consistent and strategic manner.
  • Acts as one of the local champions for I&D initiatives including training the workforce on the principles of inclusion and diversity in the workplace.
  • Participate in all M&A activity as needed.
  • Drive alignment & rollout on Sales Incentive Process and Variable Pay plans in conjunction with the leadership team and Finance.

  • Experience in driving organizational and cultural changes in a complex environment.
  • Minimum educational requirements include Bachelor Degree or equivalent credentials plus 5-7 years functional leadership experience in the human resources field. Advanced degree preferred.
