Duty Manager

What will I be doing :
A Duty Manager, you will works closely with Guests to greet, converse, and assist with enquiries, especially when VIP Guests, long-stay Guests, and others are in the hotel lobby. A Duty Manager is responsible for managing the first impressions of our Guests and, therefore, must perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Occupy the hotel lobby and other public areas, particularly at busy times
  • Engage Guests in conversation and provide general assistance
  • Manage, record, and resolve promptly all Guest complaints
  • Meet and greet VIP Guests and major corporate clients upon arrival
  • Coordinate the services and special facilities provided to long-stay Guests
  • Understand all credit procedures and ensure they are applied
  • Stay current with all hotel products, services, policies and emergency procedures
  • Monitor Guest satisfaction reports and implement actions to improve results
  • Handle, record and follow through with management issues or emergencies that arise
  • Conduct any Health and Safety procedures, if required, including fire walks, food safety investigations, etc.

SSC- Accounts Receivable Accountant

The SSC Accounts Receivable Accountant is responsible for providing Accounts Receivable service to hotels across the GCC that are supported by the UAE Finance Shared Service Centre (SSC).

The role reports to the SSC Accounts Receivable Supervisor.

Position Summary: 

•    Ensure accuracy of all charges and credits to the relevant accounts
•    Checking the direct bill report and supporting documentation daily and report variances
•    Monthly balance sheet reconciliations for Accounts Receivable related balance sheet accounts
•    Effective collection efforts in reducing DSO days and highlight issue accounts to SSC supervisor and hotel team
•    Ensures that all necessary supporting documentation is submitted with invoices to substantiate charges and ensures payment is collected in a timely fashion
•    Follows up the collection of inter-hotel billings and Hilton Honors redemptions
•    Prepare month end aging reports and ensure all reports reconcile and balance against the general ledger
•    Ensure SOX compliance for Accounts Receivable function
•    Maintain good communication and working relationship with hotel teams
•    Perform any additional tasks as assigned to ensure effective operations of the SSC

Required Qualifications:

•    Minimum Education: High school graduate
•    Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years as an AR Accountant
•    Fluent in English. French will be an advantage

What will I be doing?

As Senior Sales Manager Leisure, you will analyse local market trends and competitor activity to recommend strategies that keep the hotel a leader in the marketplace through the development of future and repeat business. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Analysis local market trends and competitor activity to identify business leads
  • Develop customer accounts and travel within the local area to drive business into the specific hotel/cluster and to increase market/customer share in all revenue streams
  • Negotiate room rates/packages with corporate clients
  • Develop and implement creative local marketing channels, including social media channels
  • Prepare company contracts for the hotel in accordance with current business and pricing conditions
