Job Purpose

Handles incoming prospect or customer inquiries or concerns and uses bank’s resources and Call Centre policies and procedures to provide complete, accurate responses. Uses Call Centre technologies and follows processes in accordance with Call Centre standards to ensure contact handling accuracy and operation effectiveness.

Key roles and responsibilities include

  • Receive in-bound calls from customers and prospects through voice, fax, e-mail and web while maintaining established standards for number of calls, pick-up time, duration of call, quality of call etc.
  • Provide high quality customer service by answering customer enquiries efficiently and politely with correct and complete information and redirect them where appropriate.
  • Provide high quality customer service by handling customer service requests as defined in the Call Center manual efficiently and accurately with relevant necessary documentation.
  • Provide first level support for all technical and functional queries related to Alternative Distribution Channels like ATM, DBank Online and IVR.
  • Identify and maximize up-selling and cross-selling opportunities and generate sales and leads as appropriate.
  • Migrate customers to Alternative Distribution Channels.
    Educate the customer about the organization’s products and services.
  • Handle customer complaints to the satisfaction of the customer within the defined authority limits and escalate more complex complaints where appropriate.
  • Continuously learning to keep up-to-date with changes and developments to products, services, and procedures.
  • Participate in Outbound calling for new businesses when required.
    Handle light back office work related to leads, follow-up, customer complaints etc.
  • Maintain confidentiality of the bank’s customers and data.
  • Adheres to the assigned shift schedule and avoid any late attendance which will affect performance.
  • Interaction with diversified customers, all branches & departments on a 24 hours basis.
  • Keeping abreast with the latest changes to any of the banking products / procedures and new promotions.
  • Sudden rush of calls, stressful periods, Shift based work environment.
    The incumbent will need to solve customer problems, handle irate customers and ability to cross-sell.
  • The incumbent will have to be on top-off of all the bank’s products, services and promotions.
  • Dealing with customers from different languages, accents and cultures.

Education & Experience Required

  • Graduate in any discipline with 1 year in a bank’s call center.

Detailed Roles and Responsibilities

OPERATIONAL

  • Assist the Senior Officer in the review of policies and procedures pertaining to SMS/Mobile banking, including revisions.
  • Assist in effective management of existing SMS service/Mobile banking channel, ensuring participation and buy-in from internal / external stakeholders, as applicable.
  • Assist in research, analysis and benchmarking efforts, furthering the identification, and analysis of current / target marketplace, gaps in the respective market segments, tendencies and competitors in terms of SMS/Mobile banking opportunities.
  • Assist in preparation of business case/ proposals for incremental value-added features/bundling capabilities, including but not limited to consumer research, budget, pricing and costing calculations, and timelines etc.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, assist in evaluation of the effects of development or amendments to the DB SMS/Mobile banking channel, and support in preparing the proposals for the respective regulatory authority review and approval, prior to implementation.
  • Provide necessary coordination/administrative support in delivery of marketing content and programs, in line with the Digital banking channel strategy.
  • Assist in the implementation of efficient customer retention / anti-attrition strategies, in support of the transaction migration efforts across digital banking channels.
  • Provide coordination support in ensuring that the operational framework and customer support is delivered within the service level agreements in line with customer requirements and expectations.
  • Provide necessary support in evaluating, outlining and managing potential operational risk for the SMS/Mobile banking channel/services offered.
  • Provide coordination/administrative support in engagement or alliances with channel partners / business partnerships to complement consistent growth or develop opportunities.
  • Liaise with the IT department and other relevant stakeholders, for regular testing of systems to ensure operational efficiency/ release of new standards or system installations/integrations or upgrades.
  • Contribute towards and assist the Senior Officer in the development and delivery of SMS/Mobile Banking product documentation, and reference materials for internal and external stakeholders, in line with the internal policies and regulatory/legal standards, with relevant internal department coordination.
  • Work closely with the Senior Officer in achieving the assigned transaction migration targets in terms of Retail SMS/Mobile Banking Users across Business Units, ensuring all performance standards are met in terms of the controls, compliance, and quality standards.
  • Assist in development of analysis reports / consolidation of data on SMS/Mobile Banking Channels penetration/ transaction migration, and customer insights/other applicable metrics for various internal/ external requirements, as applicable/directed.
  • Assist in preparing timely and accurate information for the external and internal auditors and the Compliance function, as advised by the Section Head.
  • Maintain highest standards of confidentiality, professional conduct, ethics and integrity in the provision of services in the section.

Work Experience

  • 05-08 years of total experience in financial services/banking industry, entailing responsibilities pertaining to the specific area of discipline
  • Solid experience in SMS/Mobile Banking, with operational risk, process management and e-commerce / payment systems familiarity preferred

Educational Qualifications

  • University graduate with a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or any other related discipline.
  • Master’s degree in Management any other related discipline will be an added advantage.

A Security Officer patrols, monitors, and observes security procedures to ensure a safe Guest and Member experience while investigating theft and managing instances of undesirable behavior.

What will I be doing?

As a Security Officer, you are responsible for monitoring and controlling staff entrances, patrolling on a regular basis, and managing undesirable behavior to deliver a safe Guest and Member experience. A Security Officer will also be required to investigate theft and support evacuation procedures. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Monitor and control staff entrances
  • Conduct regular searches of bags, etc. carried by members of staff and report discrepancies or violations immediately
  • Control the Goods pass out procedure for any items purchased, loaned, or otherwise legitimately obtained
  • Maintain system that monitors contractors working in the hotel in accordance with company health and safety policies
  • Responsible for checking goods received out of hours
  • Maintain system that records the issue and receipt of departmental keys
  • Operate, check and monitor the CCTV system
  • Patrol the hotel on a regular basis ensuring fire walks take place and are recorded
  • Ensure safe passage of cash transfers within the hotel
  • Support evacuation of the hotel during fire alarm situations
  • Monitor suspicious packages and be aware of bomb and terror threat procedures
  • Provide secure storage for guest oversized items
  • Ensure hotel facilities and function rooms remain secure and locked when not in use
  • Maintain the Security Log Book and Incident Reports
  • Investigate and report all allegations of theft, criminal damage and other incidents
  • Manage undesirable behavior in a professional manner, intervening and defusing potential altercations
  • Liaise with Police in the absence of Security Team Leader
  • Report any maintenance or hazard issues to the supervisor on duty
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety Regulations
