Your day to day

To maximize the business value and Hotel Revenues from the effective and efficient use of Information Technology in the Hotel by ensuring the Hotel Computer Systems are installed and operating according to company standards, policy and procedures. To maintain and secure Computer hardware inventory at an optimum level. To manage and prioritise any IT problems, impacting either revenue and/or the guest, for quick resolution and to back up the Technology Manager (for daily operations). Tactically assist in managing the day-to-day business with key internal/external relationships. In the absence of the Director of IT assume his role. PEOPLE The technology Supervisor will deal hands-on with Guest complaints and internal complaints very frequently. Therefore, must be able to react efficiently and keep calm even under difficult circumstances. To stay up to date with technology change, trends, and the future in the hospitality industry and in general. To share any experience with the rest of the team and hosts. Manage the Technology team and coordinate with other teams in the hotel to get things done efficiently. GUEST EXPERIENCE Communicates politely and displays courtesy to guests and internal customers Communicates to superiors any difficulties, guest or internal customer comments, and other relevant information. Anticipate guests’ needs, and make sure they are fulfilled. Maintain a high level of knowledge of the latest happenings and trends which affect the Guest experience Taking appropriate action to resolve guest complaints in a timely manner. RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS Serves as the first line of support for all IT related issues in the hotel Assist Director of IT to maintain full up-to-date systems manuals in the Technology Department. To ensure that the computer room & PABX room are tidy, locked & access restricted to authorized personnel. Follow the IT Standards and assist the Director of IT while implementing any system. Assist in making sure all the internal computers and related equipment are PCI compliant. Maintain a log for all problems and all maintenance calls using the existing ticketing system. Assist Director of IT to maintain a full up-to-date inventory for all computer and related hardware including the telecommunications-related computer equipment. Detailing Purchase date, Price, Serial Number, Model Number, expected replacement date and maintenance where applicable. Assist Director of IT to maintain a full up-to-date Software list including all operating systems backed up by the original licenses or invoice, detailing Software licenses, Purchase date, Price (where applicable), release number, and maintenance (where applicable) Assist Director of IT to maintain a full up-to-date schematic diagram, identifying all main systems including interfaces, reservation system, E-Mail and Call Accounting System. Assist Director of IT to maintain a full up-to-date schematic diagram; identify all cabling routes and clear & exhaustive labelling. Assist Director of IT to maintain a full up-to-date diagram or listing identifying all patching information for the IT Patch Panel(s). (Fully documented) To assist in managing twice a year a Technology Audit of the hotel following audit document provided by the Divisional Office.
What we need from you

• At least Three (3) years in systems support and administration. • A College Degree in Computer Science or a related field • Hotel experience in IT or Operation is desirable • Fluency in the English Language both spoken and written is a must and knowledge of the Arabic Language will be an advantage. • Microsoft OS (Servers & Workstation) • SQL, MS-Access & Oracle • Desktop application MS Office, Exchange & Outlook, etc. • Maintenance of computer hardware and installation of various software.

    We have an exciting opportunity for you as Accounts Receivable Officer to join our enthusiastic team at Crowne Plaza UAE Abu Dhabi Marina. As an Accounts Receivable Officer you are responsible to review the city ledger, prepare invoices and verify purchase slips in a smooth and effective way and in compliance with all policies. Whereby your role will include key responsibilities such as: • To transfer daily city ledger data from the Front Office system to Back Office Accounts Receivable module. • To review the city ledger folios with supporting documents such as charge slips, LPOs etc. • To follow up if required for billing instructions, LPOs, supporting documents etc. • To prepare invoices and ensure that they are sent to the clients. • To check and verify credit card transfer with purchase slips and credit card reconciliation summary prepared by the Night Auditor. • Calculate commissions for the revenue/business received from the various mode. • To hand overall cash receipts to the General Cashier with a receipt copy. • To post all payments in the A/R system. • To print the payment-posting report from the system, tally with general ledger, and prepares payment reconciliation summary after obtaining Financial Accountant’s signature. To maintain all barter accounts and prepare an updated summary.

    The successful candidate will be hands-on leader with the ability to positively coach and motivate the team to success. Ideally, the candidate would have minimum 2 – 3 years experiences in a similar role in a 5 star hotel; able to handle multi-national team; Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field. The position required a high organization skill; highly motivated; focus on training and developing staff member; good administration skill.
