The College of Engineering Technology invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor in Electrical Engineering (Automation and System Control).

Your commitment:
Reporting to the Head of Sustianable Systems Engineering Department, the successful candidate will be responsible for the development, delivery, and evaluation of a broad range of courses within the Electrical Engineering (Automation and System Control) and related diploma and degree programs. S/he will evaluate student progress and manage the resources of the learning environment. The successful candidate will liaise with industry and other educational institutions; participate in industry advisory committees and coordinate, manage, and supervise final year/capstone projects within the specified program area. Faculty members will maintain course portfolio documents required for accreditation processes and engage in instructional development/improvement plans.

You will also be involved in applied research activities/projects with the industry in the following areas.
• Industrial automation and control systems
• Industrial instrumentation and measurements
• Industrial networking technologies
• Robotics and intelligent control/systems
• Machine learning, artificial intelligence and cyber security for
• for industrial control systems
• Embedded systems and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT)

All employees are expected to contribute to professional and community life within the University and beyond.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field; specifically, in the fields of Automation, Robotics or Controls.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in teaching undergraduate courses in areas such as:
o Automation and control systems
o Robotics and intelligent control
o Smart sensors, embedded systems and IIoT
o Machine learning and cyber security for industrial control systems
o Industrial instrumentation and process control
o Drives in automation
o PLCs, DCS and SCADA systems
o Maintenance of actuators, transmitters and controllers
o Process analyzers
o Process tuning and optimization
o Equipment calibration
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant industrial experience.

Candidates should also be recognized in the following criteria:

Department Profile:

The College of the North Atlantic – Qatar is inviting nominations and applications for the position of Budgeting and Analysis Specialist in the Finance Department. Reporting to the Section Head, Budgeting and Analysis, the Budgeting and Analysis Specialist must be competent with the skills and expertise necessary to support the Finance Department in fully implementing the College’s mission and vision.

Duties and Responsibilities:

This position requires an energetic and enthusiastic individual who will provide necessary support in the preparation of CNA-Q’s budget plan. The successful candidate will maintain budget guideline policies and procedures, in addition to implementing them in alignment with the CNA-Q budget objectives. The candidate will review the allocation of expenditure, update the yearly budget, develop financial reports, review CNA-Q financial data, and report risk factors.

The Budgeting and Analysis Specialist will coordinate training workshops, and ensure proper implementation of a standard financial compliance system. He/she must maintain strict confidentiality of financial information and budget records in accordance with CNA-Q’s confidentiality policies.

The position incumbent will be required to serve as the point of contact for internal stakeholders to address concerns and budget related issues. In addition, the Budgeting and Analysis Specialist must maintain a secure filing system, maintain appropriate documentation in PeopleSoft, and attend relevant training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

Education and Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field is required

Experience:

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Budgeting and Analysis

Language:

Fluency in written and spoken English is required

Other Required Skills:

Good organization skills with a high standard of professional integrity. A proactive can-do attitude to work and good time management is essential. The ability to think analytically and solve problems and good attention to detail is required.   • A minimum of 5 years of employment experience as a practitioner/professional within the relevant discipline.
