What You’ll Do

You will be the leader of a team responsible for the growth of our Channel business working closely with multiple cross functional teams across Theatre Sales.

In this role, you shall be responsible for:

  • Delivery of the Channel Plan for the MEA region
  • Developing perspective on the Channel strategy evolution
  • Leading, encouraging and developing the partners team to achieve success and build an inclusive culture
  • Establishing, driving and achieving common metrics of success; performance reviews & cadence
  • Ensure coverage & resource alignment and run customer concerns
  • Drive alignment across multiple partner groups

Who You Are

You will have a minimum of 12 relevant years’ experience working with channel partners and direct sales. You will have demonstrable sales leadership experience with a consistent track record of success both in terms of leadership and sales. You will possess both a business and technology background that enables engagement with Cisco’s sales leadership and the Executives within our Channel community, as well as the ability to promote relevance of their mission to sales organizations both within Cisco and our broader partner community. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about technology challenges.

Experience and Skills

  • Several years’ experience in channel sales, direct sales or business development with a technology company
  • Several years’ experience in managing a local and a regional team
  • Understands the importance of the channel to driving Cisco’s business
  • Ability to drive strategy to execution through significant business expertise and a drive towards business outcomes
  • Experience in leading direct and indirect teams across multiple geographies in MEA
  • Strong executive presence and proven ability to build credibility and relationships with partner and Cisco executives
  • Proven experience of building and leading successful sales team, crafting a team oriented and inclusive culture

Overview

As the Campaign & Strategic Events Manager – EMEAR & APAC, reporting to the EMEA & APAC Field and Partner Marketing Director, you will collaborate closely with the integrated campaigns team and the field marketing team to scale regional campaign execution.  You will be responsible for understanding the regional business and will collaborate closely with the global team to shape the campaign strategy and execution plan.  You will own the regional strategic event strategy, partnering closely with the regional field marketing team to plan, execute and optimise strategic pan EMEAR and pan APAC events.  You will own the end to end delivery of these events.

Job Responsibilities

Campaign Strategy & Execution

  • Collaborate closely with our global integrated campaigns team to provide regional feedback and define regional requirements during global campaign planning
  • Partner closely with the EMEA and APAC field marketing teams to strategise, plan, prioritise and manage the execution of regional marketing campaigns across the marketing funnel, including email, paid digital, social, content syndication, online, direct mail
  • Ensure all regional campaigns are aligned to our global integrated campaign priorities.  Where appropriate, localise and personalise messaging and tactics to region and optimise for engagement
  • Refine and optimise regional campaigns to maximise the return on investment, with a focus on conversation and nurture through the sales funnel, MQL through to VO
  • Review the performance of regional campaigns across all channels, including email, paid digital, social, content syndication, online, direct mail
  • Forecast and monitor lead attainment against targets and work with the wider marketing team to recommend appropriate actions to achieve and exceed expectations
  • Partner with our CxC and field marketing team to scale programmes in the EMEAR and APAC geos
  • Partner with SDR teams to ensure alignment on lead volume, quality and lead nurture follow up

Strategic Events

  • Partner closely with the regional field marketing team to plan, execute and optimise strategic pan EMEAR and pan APAC events – hosted and third party (Transform, Global Tour, Gartner Symposium, Cisco Live, Gitex, etc..)
  • Identify and maximise reach and presence at strategic third party events through multi-channel marketing campaign support
  • Uplevel customer and prospect experiences at our strategic events.  Excite our audience, build brand loyalty, and deliver exceptional event experiences
  • Collaborate with the wider Cisco marketing team to maximise joint opportunities across our strategic events
  • End to end project management of strategic events
  • Review performance and tracking, and ensure event KPIs are attained or exceeded
  • Partner with SDR teams to ensure alignment on lead volume, quality and lead nurture follow up

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years experience in field marketing / regional campaign management for a SaaS/enterprise software vendor
  • Team player with a positive attitude and strong sense of ownership
  • Strong collaboration skills, working with a group of individuals to achieve a shared goal
  • Strong project management skills with great attention to detail
  • Experienced working with complex teams across multiple geographies and cultures
  • Track record of delivering pipeline growth and acceleration, delivering a RoI on marketing investment
  • Successful track record of designing and executing impactful events and regional field marketing programs
  • Understanding of the customer lifecycle, sales pipeline and the role of marketing at each stage
  • Ability to turn data into powerful insights and action to help shape the future strategies
  • Ability to build trust with executives and key stakeholders of all levels
  • Strong written communication skills and ability to distill and convey information in a compelling manner
  • Detail-oriented organisational and process management skills to manage a wide range of incoming requests and responsibilities
  • Strong work ethic, disciplined execution skills, willingness to do whatever it takes to deliver results
  • Self-starter who enjoys problem-solving with little direct supervision. Ability to learn quickly with a high tolerance for ambiguity and complexity
  • Keen to travel and attend events internationally if required
