Communication Officer

The Communication Officer will be part of the Six Construct People Department and will assist in planning, developing and implementing all communication initiatives, to ensure effective management of the company’s culture and identity in the Middle East.

The individual will focus on communication aimed at local employees, external stakeholders, social media as well as managing broader communication projects and developing messaging strategies.

The successful candidate should possess outstanding English writing, excellent presentation and organizational skills with a high level of comfort working directly with managers and employees across multiple groups and entities in a global organization.

  • Is responsible for development and delivery of overall internal & external communications within the business unit Middle East.
  • Serve as counsel to the management team of the business unit on internal & external communications, including strategic planning, message development and implementation.
  • Establish and implement effective channel strategy to ensure the right messaging reaches the right target audiences in the most effective way possible, ultimately increasing the effectiveness of communications.
  • Work closely with Group Communication team to coordinate and streamline all communications opportunities (internal, external) re: Middle East.
  • Manage content development and scheduling across communication delivery channels.
  • Create a superior employee experience and drive employee engagement through streamlined, effective internal communications.
  • Accountable for continuous quality and process improvement for communications – and in influencing overall communications includes ongoing assessment and measurement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in public relations, communications, marketing, journalism or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of corporate communications experience. Contracting sector communication experience preferred.

Planning Engineer – Senior

Six Construct is a multi-services company that operates in the construction of commercial and residential buildings, sport and leisure facilities, infrastructure and marine-related projects. The company currently employs a workforce of 16,000 in the Middle East, and a total of 19,000 worldwide.

Job Description

  • Preparation / updating / Revision of Baseline programs in Primavera P6.
  • Maintain Schedule Control Procedure
  • Review and monitor the Project Execution Plan
  • Review and monitor physical progress at Site and compare that with schedules
  • Review and verify the progress measurement claimed by the Contractor with the actual physical progress at Site for invoicing purpose
  • Development of tender programs during bidding phases.
  • Review of Resident engineer’s weekly reports.
  • Generating executive summary reports for higher management
  • Assist Supervisors and engineers in delay impact analysis and EOT requests.
  • Follow up of issue’s impacting the projects schedule.
  • Maintaining a data base of projects progress.
  • Generating look ahead programs for the Resident engineer’s.
  • Monitoring progress & efficiency of each project and reporting to supervisors and managers.
  • Critically analyzing of projects and raising flags in case of slippage and identification of mitigation measures.
  • Preparation of recovery plans.
  • Preparation of projects progress monitoring charts for graphical visualization of projects.
  • Assisting supervisors and managers for board presentations and meetings.
  • Assisting team and managers as needed.
  • Weekly/ Monthly progress report preparation.

Qualifications :

  • You are a developed construction specialist, who has experience in different domains (building, civil works, marine works) and aspects (design, tender, site office) of construction;
  • You have a flexible personality, who looks critically to his own working area and looks continuously out for ways to do it better;
  • You challenge the prevailing assumptions within your working area and you propose effective ideas for improvement of existing processes within the Company;
  • You are an excellent communicator, who is capable of explaining and reporting clearly to project and operational management and to the client;
  • You are able to work efficiently and autonomously on larger projects where your knowledge is required, so that a high return on investment and a value added service is guaranteed.
  • You demonstrate willingness and ability to learn quickly and to work independently in a stressful work environment.

Profile

  • You have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably Civil/Construction.
  • Has minimum 10 years of work experience in massive/ huge projects and in the field of planning.
  • You have a very good knowledge/ use of Primavera P6.
  • You have a very good knowledge with Ms Office package.
  • You can review, extract information from drawings using AutoCad (preferable).
  • Good knowledge of Tilos (preferable but not necessary).
  • You are fluent in English.
  • You are ready to travel abroad
