Al Jazira Group Qatar Jobs Description 2022

The Accountant is responsible to perform bookkeeping and organizing financial forms, documents and receipts including completing monthly & yearly closing activities as per Finance Division procedures & closing calendar deadlines for assigned bureaus / Hubs.

You will also be responsible to ensure adequate cash flow is always available in the bureau to meet all editorial needs and responsible to prepare Bank and Cash Balances reconciliations as per finance procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record and post all financial transactions in accordance with Finance policies and procedures.
  • Reconcile and clear balance sheet accounts as per Finance procedures.
  • Comply with local laws in the Bureaus, ensure Filing of all required tax returns, declarations, statements and information to authorities as and when these become due, and Identify noncompliance issues for assigned bureaus.
  • Prepare monthly expenses reimbursements for assigned bureaus and ensure adequate cash is maintained in bureaus.
  • Submit monthly budget request along with approvals for hubs and subsidiaries and ensure adequate cash is maintained in Hub.
  • Prepare payroll payments for hubs and bureaus within the region.
  • Post invoices and process vendor/staff payments accurately and on time after checking compliance as per AJMN P&P and TOFA as well as local laws.
  • Ensure accounting policies and procedures are followed throughout the region and providing recommendations to improve financial controls.
  • Guide and assist the Admin & Finance staffs in bureaus to perform their duties in all financial and tax compliance matters including liaising with external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretary and other financial consultants.
  • Review supporting documents for assigned Bureaus and report noncompliance issues.
  • Keep proper filing and tracking of financial and administrative subjects in shared folder such as; monthly cash journals, reconciliations, bank statements, petty cash count, registration documents, opening bank accounts letters, financial statements, tax filing documents, tax clearance certificate, tax advises and laws, payroll sheets, approvals and monthly supporting document.
  • Liaise with the Bureau/Hub staffs in ensuring the team understand all finance policies and procedures and answer all the queries.
  • Preparation and liaising with auditors for Annual statutory audit on financial statements (if applicable).
  • Preparation and liaising with tax consultants for Corporate Tax annual submission and Transfer Pricing filing(if applicable).
  • Update the PPE register (if applicable)
  • Submit monthly invoice for the services performed by Hubs(if applicable).

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is a must.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience is required in general accounting.
  • Knowledge of financial contracts, audit techniques, AP processes and related financial processes, financial control cycles & Letters of Guarantee (LGs) and Letters of Credit (LCs)

Summary:

You will be mainly responsible for managing bureaus in MEA region.

Job Type: Contract – Freelance, must be a QID holder

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily communicate with the bureaus to ensure the implementation of the services and lease contracts as agreed with the providers
  • Check bureaus needs such as equipment and services, and follow up the request till they are finalized
  • Submit all the purchase requests and purchase orders, check the service in place and issue SES accordingly in SAP
  • Communicate and coordinate with the Network divisions and directorates in Doha and Hubs to follow up the requests approvals.
  • Prepare the annual budget for the bureaus with justification, and prepare quarterly comparison between the approved budget and the actual expenses.
  • Check the invoices submitted by the bureaus before getting approval from the manger.
  • Oversee the bureaus compliance with local laws and the Network’s policies and procedures.
  • Ensure each bureau has an updated info of the bureaus including and not limited to assets and staff.
  • Study and revise the bureau’s monthly funds and expenses

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related such as logistic services or Finance Experience not less than 5 years – preferably in multi cultured atmosphere
  • Must be a Resident in Qatar
