Working in the Electrification Power Conversion in US, you will lead the execution of medium-size projects and ensure that all related activities are accordance with ABB policy, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets, as well as schedule commitments. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will drive the formal acceptance of the project by the customer, maintaining and enhancing customer providing excellent service at all stages of the project This role can be in the Plano, TX headquarters or in a virtual location in Texas, Colorado or Arkansas. If the role is in Plano, we offer a hybrid work schedule, with business approval

Your responsibilities

  • Leads the project team allocated to the project, defining main guidelines, allocating project tasks, and motivating and monitoring internal and external resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones.
  • Provides performance feedback regarding allocated resources working on projects
  • Defines, jointly with the Project Controls department, all project plan documents, including scope and financial plans, schedule, and risk management
  • Ensures the project follows execution best practices and ABB policies.
  • Effectively monitors and controls project progress and efficient resolution
  • Monitors and controls project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses and cash flow.
  • Identifies, qualifies, quantifies, and manage project risks, and ensures that all opportunities are identified and pursued
  • Captures, analyses, and shares lessons learned throughout the project.
  • Ensures project is formally closed out, as contractually agreed
  • Drives the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out and its acknowledgement by the customer
  • Ensures projects consistently apply contract and claims management, in accordance with ABB policies and contractual agreements
  • Coordinates with Supply Chain Management, and successfully procures required services, materials, and equipment for the project from externa suppliers.
  • Support Supply Chain Management in supplier negotiations, claims and project changes
  • Acts as key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicates with all stakeholders
  • Ensures the project follows and complies with company health, safety, and environmental policies

Your background

  • Basic Qualifications:
  • • BS/BA from an accredited university.
  • • Three years’ experience in Project Management or related field.
  • Desired Characteristics
  • • Strong communication skills with varying levels of the organization.
  • • Knowledge of MS project and SAP.
  • • Strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • • Strong customer orientation with good diplomatic negotiation and communication skill.
  • • Strong verbal and written communication skill
  • • Ability to communicate effectively with customers & vendors.

We are currently seeking a Quality Analyst who will be a core member of a 5-person team that is responsible for providing direct customer support to product quality issues, order and delivery/fulfilment issues, and to ensure customer success and their complete satisfaction.

Your responsibilities

  • Assess and evaluate customer issues and problems that are submitted in the PARS (Positive Action Resolution and Response) System, with direct accountability for addressing those customer issues that are rated at low to medium levels of urgency and complexity or reviewed as repetitive or as an isolated customer incident
  • Provide direct customer support to answer inquiries and issues related to product quality, as well as accountability for ensuring effective and timely problem resolution, and defining and executing corrective actions
  • Hands on responsibility for identifying and analyzing product deficiencies and quality standards defects, working closely with our R&D engineering lab, as well as out on the manufacturing floor as required
  • Assist with ISO Audits to ensure 9001-2015 ISO Standards compliance
  • Run and provide status reports, and monitor customer satisfaction and problem resolution metrics

Your background

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required; an Associate’s degree or higher is a plus
  • A minimum of 3-5 years in an industrial manufacturing product environment providing production process quality and technical customer support is required
  • Ability to interact daily and communicate clearly and effectively with customers is required; Must be comfortable working closely with customers to resolve any of their reported issues and problems
  • Ability to assess the severity level of the problem and the scope of issue raised by customers is required, with the ability to provide swift correction action, and to appropriately escalate issues when required
  • Must be able to read blueprints, follow inspection procedures, and understand material specification
  • Knowledge and ability to use a variety of measurement tools and devices (micrometers, calipers, torque wrenches, weight scales, comparator, elcometers, etc.). is required
  • Must have proficiency is using MS Office software and tools; Ability to provide status and customer update reports from the customer support system
  • Must have solid basic math skills, with sound problem solving skills
  • Knowledge and ability to use control charts is preferred
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in United States
